SOLD A e, non-sunroof, cable throttle, 6 speed manual 996 coupe with a good specification and quite a few nice tweeks too. It has MO30 suspension springs fitted, genuine PSE (Porsche Switchable Exhaust) as well as Sports tailpipes, a TechArt strut brace, wheel spacers (official Porsche sizes), a short shift kit, clear lens headlights (with Xenon kit), non-amber rear lenses, rear wiper delete, K&N air filter, protective mesh in the front bumper (to defend the radiators from debris), as well as the factory Tequipment gearknob & handbrake, Sound Pack, 18" Turbo alloys, painted centre console, silver dials, on board computer etc. It's had all the brake lines replaced (common issue), all brake discs and pads are recent (oldest being just 7,000 miles ago), the IMS bearing has been replaced (LN Engineering solution), the gearbox has been fully rebuilt (89k). Early cars don't have the vulnerable plastic coated pistons but the bores have been checked anyway as absolutely fine by a renowned specialist (at 115,791 miles, see photo), the spark plugs, coils & MAF sensor have all done under 4,000 miles. It's had a recent starter motor and Bosch battery (4 year guarantee remaining), matching P Zero Rosso N rated tyres (rears 4,000 miles ago, front about 2,000) , a recent clutch (at 117,840 miles) along with various suspension parts (coffin & fork arms etc). There is a full service history (last serviced under 1500 miles ago), most of which is stamped in the book, negligible range 2 ignitions. We've known this since 2009, when we took it in against a 996 Turbo, we kept it for a couple of years at the time then after just 1 more owner we've owned and run it ourselves since 2012, but very little since getting a 992 Targa 4 GTS. NOW THE BAD BIT - it's starting to show signs of its age on the bodywork - please WATCH THE VIDEO and VIEW ALL THE PHOTOS. I was looking for a replacement for my 2000 Bentley Arnage Red Label and found a Flying Spur on Autotrader. Checking out the video and photos it was clear that given the very fair price advertised the 2005 Flying Spur might fit the bill. A telephone call covered all the questions I had and was handled in a very friendly and professional manner, this was a key requirement for me as the dealer is over 600 miles from my home. An appointment was made and I journeyed down with my existing car. The Spur was as it had been described, one or two minor faults (The car is 15 years old) but these had been honestly detailed from the start. Figures agreed, the paperwork was concluded and I drove away in my new car - Happy. Had the car at the time of writing for nine days and have over 1300 miles covered.
I had had my Qashqai for 7 years and was looking to upgrade to something bigger, and had a VW Tuareg in mind, not too new i had a budget.
